Here, you will learn everything about the conversion of a Fiat Coupé to electric motorisation. In other words, the original 2 litre engine will be removed to make way for an electric engine and enough batteries to make the car as exciting as possible. This project is called Electron Red.

Granted, electric vehicles do not yet offer the same range of capabilities as their petrol counterparts.
However, for short journeys, an EV (Electric Vehicle) makes a lot of environmental sense: so many of the journies we make are quick trips to take the kids to school or to go to the local shops/supermarket or even to work, etc.

Battery costs are the main deterrent to adopting electric cars. Now, if a public appetite emerged for environmentally friendly and exciting commute-range cars, surely manufacturers would want a share of that market. Then with mass production, battery prices would drop...

Electron Red will show us how tantalizingly close we are to solving a significant chunk of car related environmental issues - if only - there was a bit more daring from the manufacturer's camp...
